Everyone loves Wendy Culpepper. Stars like Selena Gomez, Kate Hudson and Rachel Ray constantly wear her gems. Many charities have fallen in love with her "Ignite Change" campaign. And even us little lay folk over at Stylelist wear her designs day and night. We got a chance to talk to Wendy and ask her about her inspirations, W. Culpepper star spotting, and how she keeps her line so darn affordable.What makes lace front wigs your designs stand out? I think my metalwork is really defined by its organic and smooth nature. I always strive to create outlines that really work with a woman's chin, collarbones, and face shape so all women can find a style perfect for their body and wardrobe. What inspires you? Actually, I'm frequently asked how I come up with new designs, but I find that the ideas and sketches are the easiest and most fun part of my job! The biggest challenge I face is creating continuity amongst them so they all relate to each other. I like everything to be able to be worn together and intermixed so I use the form, finish, and outlines of the jewelry to integrate the styles together. How are you items so affordable? We've always taken extra steps to make sure we have a quality product at reasonable prices. I traveled to full lace wigs Thailand a few years ago, and I work with an amazing jewelry company. It's always been important to me to use a fair selling price not one determined by what celebrity might be wearing my jewelry. My goal has always been to build a brand based on providing quality, beautiful designs women love to wear and nothing less.What does the future hold? I'm very excited to continue expanding our "Ignite change" for charity campaign. We'll be adding more charities and gemstones to keep spreading the awareness for many important causes. Also, we're creating a "charity piece of the month" which will support a different organization each month with a donation.Lastly, and most exciting, we'll be launching other types of chinese hair accessories! In early 2009, we'll be unveiling a whole new product line that isn't jewelry... but the cat isn't quite out of the bag yet so we hope everyone will keep checking back to see what's new!
